Description

           Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on wind turbine systems, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components.
  • Diagnose and resolve turbine faults using diagnostic software, and control systems.
  • Conduct system performance testing, alignment, and calibration of sensors, control units, and power systems.
  • Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
  • Provide technical support to operations teams during turbine outages, alarms, and fault conditions.
  • Support remote monitoring and control systems, interpreting turbine data to detect early warning signs of failure.
  • Maintain detailed service logs, fault reports, and maintenance documentation in compliance with Resort standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports and performance analysis.
  • Follow all site safety protocols, including high-voltage procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable environmental, electrical, and occupational safety regulations.
  • Assist with the installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of wind turbine units.
  • Support inventory control of tools, spare parts, and maintenance materials.
  • Recommend technical improvements or upgrades to enhance system reliability.
  • Work closely with engineers, contractors, and other technicians to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with management regarding turbine status and maintenance priorities.
  • Mentor junior technicians on maintenance practices and diagnostic procedures.

        Specific Technical / General

  • Technical Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2-4 years of hands-on experience with wind turbines.
  • Strong knowledge of turbine electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Proficient in turbine monitoring systems, and diagnostic tools.
  • Valid Wind Turbine Safety Training (GWO) certification preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
  • Physically fit to perform work at heights and in confined spaces.
