Position: Spa Supervisor


Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • The Spa Supervisor provides a professional service for our guests while acting as a model that our Spa team follows. The Spa Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Spa facility, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professionalism. Leads a team of spa staff, coordinates schedule and assists in developing and implementing strategies to enhance our guest’s satisfaction and maximize revenue. The general responsibilities include monitoring stock, promoting the different lines of products and spa services to our guests.

            Specific Technical / General:

  • Help management keep the maintenance list updated. Broken, dirty, old, or missing parts on machines, building, soft goods (i.e., drapes, linens, blinds, etc.).
  • Ensure the room assignment chart is completed daily.
  • Make sure that all treatment rooms have fresh decoration daily.
  • Monitor employee’s uniforms and inform management, in confidence, when uniform code is not being practiced. Management will then approach the therapist.
  • Qualified to perform Massages, Facials and Body Treatments at least.
  • Experience in a 5 Star Resort, destination or luxury Spa is a plus.
  • Good command of the English language, oral and written.
  • Work flexible day and evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience with standard Spa equipment, i.e., facial equipment, hot cabbies, Vichy, hydrotherapy tubs, etc.
  • A high standard of personal presentation.
  • Must be a self starter, energetic and motivated.
  • Training or knowledge in Aromatherapy theory/philosophy is preferred.
  • Previous 2 years’ experience working at a Spa as Spa Supervisor is required.
  • Ability to work at a physically demanding pace.
  • Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds to a maximum height of six (6) feet.
  • Ability to remain standing for lengthy periods of time; climb steps and stairs; stoop, bend, and kneel; push.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at high heights.
  • Ability to load and unload supplies.
