Description

        Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, vision, and direction to the F&B team to accomplish resort and department goals and cultivate a strong team atmosphere focused on guest and team member engagement and satisfaction. Lead with trust, respect and by example.
  • Assist the Food and Beverage Director in developing and training restaurant service staff and to ensure high quality guest experience.
  • Supervise, train and develop new and existing restaurant staff.
  • Manage food, beverage and labor costs.
  • Manage food, beverage and service quality.
  • Perform associate Performance Reviews
  • Assist the Food and Beverage Director with other related.
  • Perform any related duties as assigned by supervisor. Assisting all other employees in their duties when required.

        Specific Technical / General:

  • Should have at least 2 years management experience, strong leadership skills, and good knowledge of hotel operations.
  • Candidate has a desire for challenge and a talent for building high performance teams.
  • Must possess strong problem solving and excellent guest service skills.
  • Must have excellent articulation, leadership and communications skills.
  • Must possess good computer literacy and basic understanding of Property Management Systems.
  • Must maintain a high level of professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Must be able to organize, motivate and lead the team, and direct the work of others.
  • Assess ability to train and develop employees.
  • Must be a self-starter, energetic, & motivated with multi-task capabilities.
  • Strong 4-5-star Resort experience.
  • Must be a team player who enjoys challenge and working with others.
  • Must be creative and willing to work with existing core resort philosophy and style.
  • Previous Caribbean / International experience helpful, but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work at a physically demanding pace.
  • Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds to a maximum height of six (6) feet.
  • Ability to remain standing for lengthy periods of time; climb steps and stairs; stoop, bend, and kneel; push.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at high heights.
