Description
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, kitchen, laundry, and building systems in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment, appliances, and systems including refrigerators, air conditioning units, generators, water/wastewater systems, and electrical fixtures.
- Ensure fire alarm, life safety, and emergency power systems are functional and respond appropriately in emergencies.
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order
- Perform minor construction, carpentry, or cosmetic repairs as needed in rooms and public areas.
- Maintain accurate records of projects, work orders, and daily maintenance activities.
- Schedule and prioritize tasks in coordination with preventive maintenance programs, housekeeping, and other operational departments.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, appearance, and conduct at all times.
- Respond promptly to guest and employee maintenance requests, providing timely solutions.
- Ensure all areas of responsibility are maintained in accordance with the resort’s five-star quality and presentation standards.
- Report accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions immediately to supervisors.
- Work to prevent accidents and maintain a safe environment for guests and associates.
- Operate machinery, power tools, and equipment safely, adhering to all regulations.
- Provide guidance and training to junior engineers or team members when needed.
- Maintain clear communication with supervisors regarding materials, supplies, and progress of tasks.

Specific Technical / General
- Competency in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, kitchen, laundry, and generator systems.
- Experience with preventive maintenance, repairs, and operational troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of fire/life safety systems, emergency power, and resort facility operations.
- Skilled in use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals, and safety procedures.
- Ability to maintain maintenance logs and work order documentation.
