Description
Duties/Responsibilities:
Housekeeping Support
- Deliver clean linen and supplies to guest rooms.
- Collect and transport soiled linens, towels, and garbage from guest areas to laundry.
- Assist Room Attendants by providing replacement items, clean glassware, and amenities upon request.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping closets, storage rooms, and service hallways.
- Ensure all carts and trolleys are properly stocked, clean, and safely stored.
Public Areas
- Maintain all public and back-of-house areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and appearance.
- Vacuum, mop, dust, and polish assigned areas, ensuring floors, walls, windows and furnishings remain spotless.
- Operate cleaning equipment (vacuum cleaners, floor polishers) safely and efficiently.
- Complete routine and deep-cleaning assignments as directed by the Housekeeping Manager.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety concerns, or needed repairs promptly through the proper channels.
Guest Service & Safety
- Always greet guests courteously and assist them with inquiries or requests.
- Handle all guest property and lost and found items according to resort policy.
- Maintain complete confidentiality and professionalism when working in guest areas.
- Adhere to all safety, security, and emergency procedures.
- Report any suspicious activity, unsafe conditions, or damage immediately to management.
Teamwork & Communication
- Collaborate effectively with the housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate any shortages of linen, amenities, or supplies promptly.
- Participate in daily briefings to maintain high service and safety standards.
- Support other departments and colleagues when required to achieve overall operational excellence.

Specific Technical / General:
- Previous housekeeping or custodial experience preferred, ideally in a luxury hotel or resort environment.
- Must be willing to work flexible shifts.
- Must possess a valid BVI driver’s license.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull up to 100 pounds, and work on feet for extended periods.
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders, stoop, bend, kneel, and reach overhead as required.
- Strong understanding of proper use of cleaning products, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Demonstrates professional grooming and adherence to the resort’s uniform and appearance standards.
- Basic knowledge of chemical safety and waste handling.
