Description

           Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Wears a clean and complete uniform daily including nametag, buttons, proper shoes, neat hair, etc.
  • Greet guests in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Control the flow of work in the room by seating guests in station rotation.
  • Handle reservation, book and taking incoming telephone calls.
  • Perform any related duties as assigned by supervisor. Assisting all other employees in their duties when required.

Specific Technical / General:

  • Create a wonderful impression of a restaurant by warmly welcoming guests. As restaurants’ personal representative, you serve a key role in establishing the atmosphere.
  • Ensure meals are enjoyable and make the surroundings inviting and comfortable for resort guests.
  • Ensure that service is prompt and courteous and that the meal meets expectations.
  • Hosts and Hostesses assign guests to tables suitable for the size of their group.
  • Speak with patrons to ensure satisfaction with food and service, as well as responding to any complaints.
  • Operate cash registers to accept payments for food and beverages.
  • Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
  • Customer and Personal Service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer Satisfaction.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of dining room staff to ensure that patrons receive prompt and courteous service.
  • Basic Reading, Writing and Math skills.
  • Ability to work at a physically demanding pace.
  • Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds to a maximum height of six (6) feet.
  • Ability to remain standing for lengthy periods of time; climb steps and stairs; stoop, bend, and kneel; push.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at high heights.
  • Ability to load and unload supplies.
