Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and Diagnose:
- Perform routine inspections and diagnostic tests to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in vehicles and machinery.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately determine the cause of malfunctions.
- Repair and Maintenance:
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, golf carts, and heavy machinery such as backhoe, skidsteer, and tractors.
- Replace or repair parts such as suspension, driveline, batteries, brakes, and electrical components.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance work complies with manufacturer specifications and regulatory standards.
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Tools and Equipment:
- Maintain and manage tools, equipment, and shop supplies.
- Ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Resort Service:
- Communicate effectively with resort team and supervisors regarding the status of repairs and maintenance.
- Provide excellent customer service and build positive relationships with clients.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical school or vocational training in automotive repair preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive and heavy machinery repair.
- Certifications:
- ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification preferred.
- Certification in heavy machinery maintenance and repair a plus.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, heavy machinery, and repair techniques.
- Proficient with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and work in various positions for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in different environments, including outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
