Description
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Greet guests promptly and courteously, presenting menus and explaining daily specials.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately, offering recommendations when appropriate.
- Input orders into the POS system and ensure timely delivery from the kitchen and bar.
- Serve food and beverages according to resort standards, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal; anticipate additional needs and respond quickly.
- Pre-bus tables by removing empty plates and glasses; maintain a clean and organized dining area.
- Process payments accurately and handle cash, credit cards, and room charges in compliance with resort procedures.
- Communicate effectively with bartenders, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Maintain knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and beverage pairings.
- Perform opening and closing side work, including restocking, polishing silverware, and cleaning service areas.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of all service stations, dining areas, and POS terminals.
- Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
- Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and resort service standards.
- Attend all required staff and pre-shift meetings.
- Provide support to team members and assist in other duties as directed by management.

Specific Technical / General:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality or service training preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of previous serving experience in a restaurant, resort, or similar environment.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; proficiency in additional languages is an asset.
- Basic math skills and POS system experience.
- Excellent knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
