Description

 

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Greet guests promptly and courteously, presenting menus and explaining daily specials.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately, offering recommendations when appropriate.
  • Input orders into the POS system and ensure timely delivery from the kitchen and bar.
  • Serve food and beverages according to resort standards, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal; anticipate additional needs and respond quickly.
  • Pre-bus tables by removing empty plates and glasses; maintain a clean and organized dining area.
  • Process payments accurately and handle cash, credit cards, and room charges in compliance with resort procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with bartenders, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Maintain knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and beverage pairings.
  • Perform opening and closing side work, including restocking, polishing silverware, and cleaning service areas.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of all service stations, dining areas, and POS terminals.
  • Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and resort service standards.
  • Attend all required staff and pre-shift meetings.
  • Provide support to team members and assist in other duties as directed by management.

Specific Technical / General:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality or service training preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of previous serving experience in a restaurant, resort, or similar environment.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; proficiency in additional languages is an asset.
  • Basic math skills and POS system experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
