Duties/Responsibilities:
Cooking & Food Preparation
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to standardized recipes and portion sizes.
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and safety procedures at all times.
- Assist with menu planning, food rotation, and inventory management.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and ensure proper maintenance and sanitation.
- Monitor food temperatures and presentation to meet quality standards.
- Replenish food on the service line as needed during meal periods.
Serving & Customer Service
- Serve and assist employees with meal selection efficiently and courteously with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, portion sizes, and dietary restrictions.
- Ensure the serving area remains clean, stocked, and visually appealing.
Cleaning & Sanitation
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, utensils, and service areas.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen tools as needed.
- Sweep, mop, and maintain floors and workstations in a safe and orderly condition.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and maintaining personal hygiene standards.

Specific Technical / General:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in food preparation or cafeteria service preferred.
- Basic cooking and knife-handling skills.
- Knowledge of local BVI cuisine is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
- Knowledge of basic sanitation and cleaning practices.
